As parents of two adopted cats, we know how much joy and love pets give their owners. But the reality is that there are so many cats in need—and that’s where The Kollectionist community comes in.

Buying a Kommander Kat card not only lets you own a collectible piece of digital art with a potential to appreciate in value, it’s also a way that you can help cats in need right now. How? The Kollectionist pledges 10% of all my Kommander Kat sales will be donated to cat-related charities.

That means you—the people who buy The Kollectionist art—are directly improving cat’s lives with every purchase!

More importantly, it’s The Kollectionist community who will collectively decide which non-profit organizations will receive our funds.

YOU DECIDE WHERE TO DONATE

Here’s how our donations will work:

Part of each card’s unlockable content includes the ability to vote for your favorite cat-related charitable organization. Every purchase of a Kommander Kat card includes 1 vote, so if you buy a single card, you have 1 vote; if you buy 10 cards, you have 10 votes.

If you have multiple votes, you can use them as you like: either give all your votes to your single-most important charity, or you can spread your votes between different cat-orgs. It’s all up to you.

At the end of the 60-day sale period or when all Kommander Kat cards are sold (whichever happens first), owners will be able to vote for their favorite cat-related charities. When voting ends, we’ll tally the results and donate 10% of all purchases as follows:

• First Place = 5% The organization with the greatest number of votes will receive 5% of total sales.
• Second Place = 3% The organization with the second greatest number of votes will receive 3% of total sales.
• Third Place = 2% The organization with the third greatest number of votes will receive 2% of total sales.

So what can you do to help? Simple:

1. Buy some Kommander Kat cards! This all starts with everyone getting involved in The Kollectionist community. Buy a single card, or collect an entire deck—it’s all good. Whatever amount you spend includes a donation to charity.
2. Spread the word! Tell other NFT collectors, friends, and cat lovers about this program. The more cards we sell, the bigger the donation will be to the community’s top charities.
   Have a favorite local cat rescue org who’s on social media? Ask if they can help spread the word about the Kommander Kat campaign. It would be great to see if we can raise awareness of smaller groups in addition to the big national organizations.
3. Consider adopting! There will always be a need for kind people to adopt pets. While I hope the reach of this Kommander Kat campaign extends nationally, the real difference is always made locally. Find out who your local cat rescue organizations are, and see if you might find a new furry family member to adopt today.
