WHO ARE THE KOLLECTIONIST KATS?

Sebastian & Tybalt

Our two cats, fondly known as the “boys”, are the real stars of The Kollectionist’s projects. Long ago, we adopted these brothers as young kittens from a cat rescue organization—and they immediately became a core part of our lives.

Fast-forward through years of changes: two additional (human) children, a move back home to the Pacific Northwest, new jobs… the boys were an integral part of all our gowing family’s adventures. We had so many crazy episodes with these two—the antics sometimes were hard to believe. They made us laugh, exasperated us, comforted us, and when they eventually passed away from old age, they made us cry. Yet they remain with us in our hearts.

Fortunately, many of their better moments were recorded in photographs. It’s the power of their personalities that translates so well to digital art. And now we can share them with you through these NFTs.

With that, let me introduce:

• Sebastian (nickname “Butt-Butt”, at right in the accompanying photo): The larger and more goofy of the pair, Sebastian is the model used in The Kollectionist’s first “kat kard” deck: Kommander Kat.
• Tybalt (nickname “Boy”, at left in the accompanying photo): The more “kranky” version of the two, Tybalt will star in The Kollectionist’s upcoming release, Kan’t Kope Kat.
